Celebrate Jamaican Independence in your zoot suit and swing skirt!

Steppin’ Over is part of the Lively Up Festival which celebrates 50 years of Jamaican Independence and takes place on Sunday 30th September, at Nottingham Contemporary at 5pm.

Steppin’ Over is a wonderful dance party with a spectacular live band and dance floorshow that the whole family can enjoy. Celebrate an era when zoot suits and full skirts were the height of fashion, and jiving and jitterbug dominated the dance halls. Hear the great swing dance tunes of the time, delight in the irreverent wit of Calypsonian Grandmaster, Lord Kitchener’s lyrics. Bring your family, dress up and come show off your best moves!
